Auction Rules

1. You must be registered to bid in our auction. Bidding may be done in any of the following ways: On Line; By Telephone; By FAX; By Email and by Mail. We will be happy to assist you with your bidding, answer any questions, or give more exact descriptions of the lots.

2. Each lot in this sale has an estimated price to aid the bidder. The minimum bid is also set. Some lots may have reserves, and although we do not reveal the reserve amount, the system will identify lots that have not met the reserve with a red asterisk (*).

3. If you are not bidding on the Internet, you may call at any time prior to the closing of the sale to check the status of your bid. At that time you will be informed of the highest current bid. You may then, of course, raise your bid if you desire. Our phone number is: 609-714-2595

4. Your bid, either written or oral, grants Glass International the authority to bid for you, up to the amount of the stated bid.

5. The current bid is determined by taking the second highest bid, then increasing it by one bidding increment. Increments will be as follows:

Bid Range   Increment
Up to $250$10
$250 - $475$25
$500 - $950$50
$1,000 - $2,400$100
$2,500 - $4,750$250
$5,000 - $9,500$500
$10,000 & up$1,000

All bids are recorded at the next bid increment and any amount over the next increment will be bid as a proxie bid against future bids.

Example: you bid $1000 on a lot, which is the highest bid received to date. The second highest bid is $500 – the current bid is yours at $550. Any subsequent bid received below $1000 will automatically be increased until we reach your maximum bid level.

6. In the event of tie bids, the earliest bid received will be the winner.

7. The auctioneer will not disclose proxie bids, only the current high bid.

8. A 17% buyer’s premium will be added to the hammer price.

9. Incoming phone bids will be accepted up to 10:00 P.M., Eastern Time, on the closing day Wednesday, January 1st, 2021. Any calls already on hold at that time will be accepted. Calls coming in after 10:00 P.M. will not be honored. The mail is not always on time. If the sale date is less than one week away, please call your bids in. Please call in your questions about lots prior to closing day otherwise, we may not be able to spend as much time with you as necessary, due to the last minute rush.

If you are mailing in bids, please place a check on your bid sheet next to those lots. Any lots that have not been resolved prior to the closing time will be resolved by call backs over the next few days. Please indicate the telephone number, on your bid sheet, where you can be reached between 9:00 A.M.& 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time. Bidders may forfeit Call Back rights if we are unable to reach you. 13. The highest bidder shall prevail. It is the sole right of the Auctioneer to settle any dispute between bidders, to offer for resale any lot under question and to regulate the bidding. The Auctioneer also reserves the right to refuse any bid he believes not to have been made in good faith.

14. All lots are guaranteed genuine as described both as to condition and authenticity. Any lots may be returned within 10 days if that condition is inaccurately described.
